Could it be a match made in Disney heaven? For weeks rumors have swirled that two Disney Channel stars, Jonas Brothers hunk Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez, are dating. Now, a source confirms to PEOPLE that Jonas, 15, and Gomez, 16, are an item, saying, "They've been dating for months." A rep for the Jonas Brothers maintains there's no romance. "They are not girlfriend and boyfriend. They're friends. All of the Jonas Brothers are friends with Selena." Evidence suggests that the pair are close. Gomez, who appears in the Jonas Brothers' video "Burnin Up," has been photographed skateboarding wearing an Elvis Costello T-shirt, an item which Jonas told PEOPLE was one of his favorite things. And, Gomez was seen dancing with all three of the Jonas Brothers at the Disney Channel Games in Orlando, Fla., in March. Back in April, Gomez told PEOPLE she was unattached. "Of course, boys are on every girl's mind. But I am only 15. I don't think I need a boyfriend right now. I have crushes and I go on dates ... but younger kids my age take that stuff way too seriously." Gomez's rep did not immediately return a request for comment. The dating debate was reignited Wednesday when Rolling Stone published a cozy-looking photo of Jonas and Gomez in the August issue of the magazine. The Jonas Brothers just made a little history.

The trio's latest single, "Pushin' Me Away," was (legally) dowloaded 116,000 times for the week ended Sunday, making the group the first act ever to sell more than 100,000 online copies for three straight tracks.

The Jonases previously charted with "Burnin' Up" (183,000 first-week copies) and "Play My Music" (109,000).

Though modest airplay held down "Pushin' Me Away" on the Hot 100 singles chart, the dowload sales alone were enough to land the tune at No. 16. Additionally, the new release, the second single from next month's A Little Big Longer album, debuted at No. 2 on the Hot Digital Songs chart.

The album's lead single, "Burnin' Up," currently sits at No. 4 on the same chart and at No. 11 on the Hot 100. ("Play My Music," which peaked at No. 20 on the Hot 100, was a single from their Camp Rock soundtrack.)

~Superproducer TIMBALAND will team up with pop trio THE JONAS BROTHERS to record a track for his forthcoming album. And he reveals he already has a host of stars lined up for the project. He tells MTV.com, “Right now, I have a song with Madonna that I didn’t put on her album. I saved (it) in case I wanna do one for me. Of course I’mma (I will) do one with Beyonce. Of course I’mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It’s a lot of people. I’mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I’mma try to have 10 major ones.” (Credit to Jonashq.org)

Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and fellow Disney sensation Selena Gomez have been outed as a couple in the latest issue of Rolling Stone.

“All I can think about is THE PICTURE,” Rolling Stone deputy editor Jason Gay writes. “What could it possibly be? Why would the Disney handler want to delete it? Was it Nick making out with a girl?”

Gay makes his discovery towards the end of the article: “Later that night, I’m finally able to see the photograph. It’s a picture of Nick, Joe, Kevin and yes, a beautiful young brunette in a scarlet-red top. Nick has his arm around the girl’s back, and the girl’s arm is wrapped around his. Her name is Selena Gomez, she’s Demi Lovato’s best friend and a big new Disney star. The genuine affection in the photo is obvious…”

The much-hyped picture, which is published in the mag, shows Nick, 15, hugging Selena, who just turned 16 yesterday. The photo caption reads: “MOUSE MAGIC: Seconds before a show, Nick gets a hug from Selena Gomez, another Disney star, as Kevin, Joe and bodyguard Big Rob look on.”

With a wildly popular tour and a new record expected to sell millions, Nick, 15, Joe, 18, and Kevin, 20, make up “The Clean Teen Machine”. Here’s an excerpt from the mag’s feature article on what differentiates each of the JoBros:
“Kevin, the oldest, is the extrovert, chatting up bus drivers and security guards, crouching on his knees to greet little kids at shows… Middle child Joe, who resembles a prettier version of the actor Peter Gallagher, is the quieter Jonas, with a wild alter ego revealed onstage, where he swivels his hips and twirls a mike stand like a lightsaber. ‘I’m really inspired by Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury — the big frontmen,’ he says. ‘I heard Jagger does an hour on a treadmill before every show.’ … Nick, by contrast, is the Jonas Brothers‘ boss — the spokesman, the best musician, the chief songwriter. They've toured with the likes of Kelly Clarkson and Miley Cyrus, there are posters of them tacked up in the rooms of preteen girls nationwide, and now, the Jonas Brothers are all set to take this year's MTV Video Music Awards by storm.
On the Friday night (July 18) episode of "FNMTV," it was revealed that Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas would be performing at the 25th annual VMAs; the show will air live, and only once in its original incarnation, on September 7 at 9 p.m. This year's host, as well as additional performers and presenters, will be announced in the coming weeks.
"This is an awesome opportunity," the Jonas Brothers collectively said in a press release. "We have grown up watching all the amazing and iconic performances on the VMAs. It is an honor to be a part of something so incredible."

The Jonas Brothers join host Pete Wentz during the live taping of MTV’s FNMTV on Friday at Hollywood’s Ren Mar Studios.
Kevin, 20, Joe, 18, and Nick, 15, announced that they will be debuting the second single from their new album, A Little Bit Longer, during the MTV Video Music Awards. The 2008 VMAs will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and one-time only in its original format on Sunday, September 7, 2008 @ 9PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT).
“It’s going to be an exciting performance,” says Nick. “We’re going to involve the fans in it.”
Also announced during FNMTV: Joe graduated high school. Congrats!
